CaseCode

AI legal research with citations you can verify

AI legal research uses a language model to answer legal questions. The risk is invented citations. CaseCode retrieves real opinions and code sections first, then checks every citation in the answer against the source and flags anything it cannot find.

Why verification matters

Courts have sanctioned attorneys for filing briefs with cases that do not exist. The common thread was a citation that looked right and was never opened. A verification step between the model and your brief closes that gap.

How CaseCode keeps AI answers grounded

The answer is built from retrieved passages. Each citation is parsed and matched to the source text. The status, verified, not found or ambiguous, is shown next to the citation, with a link to the source so you can read the opinion yourself.

What it does not do

CaseCode is not a citator. It shows later opinions that cite a case, but it does not replace a review of whether the case is still good law. State statute coverage is growing, while the federal code and CFR are complete.
