CaseCode FAQ
Short, factual answers to what attorneys ask before they subscribe.
Will CaseCode invent cases?
Every citation in an answer is matched to the source text. Anything that is not found is flagged and is never presented as verified.
Is this legal advice?
No. CaseCode is a research tool for attorneys and legal professionals. It is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Verify authority before filing.
What does CaseCode cover?
Published US case law, the complete U.S. Code and the Code of Federal Regulations. State statute coverage is growing. Unpublished opinions, treatises and dockets are outside coverage.
Does it tell me if a case is still good law?
It shows later opinions that cite the case. It is not a citator, so it does not assign formal treatment flags.
Is my client data used to train models?
No. Matters stay private to your workspace.
Can my whole firm use it?
Practice covers up to 5 users and Firm up to 15. Enterprise covers more. SSO is available on Firm and up.
Can I pay by invoice?
Yes, on Firm and Enterprise.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from the billing settings. The plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
Is there a free plan?
No. The citation check on the home page lets you try the core of the product on any paragraph.
What happens when I use up my monthly limits?
Limits are usage per billing period. Usage that has been consumed stays counted, even if you delete the item.
